Congratulations to the latest #ShareYourShutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters features two rooms in her home decorated with gorgeous new Polywood interior plantation shutters that beautifully accentuate both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

 

Chelsey, who goes by Taste of Coffey on Instagram, is a Boston-based home designer with a penchant for stylish color schemes. A quick look at her space shows how she combines whites, off-whites, and muted shades for a look that’s welcoming and comfortable, but extremely stylish at the same time.

Chelsey even offered a few pieces of advice for homeowners in Fort Lauderdale and around the country:

• Always have a color scheme. When you design a room, you can always adjust colors to customize it. Try to use colors from either your interior color pallet or ones that can complement it.

• Be adaptable in your color usage. I chose shutters that are vibrant white and most of my furniture includes shades of gray, both weathered wood and fabric. So I chose to add in pops of color and white accents.

Not only does Chelsey excel at using colors in her design, but the use of space in her house is just as good. From the chairs she uses that guide the eyes right up to the wall and her beautiful shutters, to her choice of shelving under the casement window, Chelsey’s home is fashion-forward, practical, and very cozy without ever looking overdecorated.
